When to say no

When to say no

You heard from me about the importance of letting on in my previous blog.
Another one of my fav things.... is setting boundaries.
Knowing what we're willing to accept and what we're not, and understanding the reasons why, can help us make better decisions, both in our personal and professional lives.
I am going to share with you some of my lessons learned. I learned them the hard way and I hope it's different for you.
1) Get clear on your boundaries - what's your no-no?
2) Get clear on the consequences of someone not respecting your boundaries - is it removing yourself from the situation? or calling them out? or avoiding them? My fav is calling them out.
3) Get used to it - people are people and some just don't get it.
4) Be consistent - your boundaries must not change based on others' reactions, or you can’t blame others for being confused about what’s acceptable.
I hope this helps!
